Bethesda Softworks’ DOOM has managed to overthrow Overwatch in the UK following price promotions, thus making it the top selling game across all platforms for the week according to Gfk Chart-Track.
Overwatch is still in second place though with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is in third place. FIFA 16 managed to move up a place into fourth while Grand Theft Auto 5 continues to maintain its perpetual existence in the top 10. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, which had a rather strong debut, is now in sixth place moving four places down.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 surprisingly entered the top 10, moving from 12th to seventh place. UEFA Euro 2016 Pro Evolution Soccer is in eighth place followed by Star Wars Battlefront moving up from 16th to ninth place in the past week. Meanwhile, LEGO Marvel Avengers is in 10th place.
Given the lack of major releases for the next week, it remains to be seen if DOOM or Overwatch will be in first place. Tune back in next week to find out.
