Destiny Rise of Iron DLC: Bungie On New Class Powers And Weapons

Destiny: Rise of Iron will be the next (and presumably final) expansion for Destiny, due to launch later this year. Like with previous expansions for the game so far, it will probably be adding new weapons, new classes, new sub-classes, new powers, and the like, to expand the Destiny experience further.

In an interview with PlayStation LifestyleRise of Iron‘s director Scott Taylor discussed these new class powers and weapons, also talking about how the team approached balancing all of it and not having any one of them be too overpowered.

“Balancing is something that we’re always looking at and trying to make sure if it’s right for that time in Destiny’s lifecycle, so no, I’m not scared of that. That’s typical,” Taylor said. “That’s part of our job. As far as new ways to feel powerful: Yes. There’s the axe, which you can see and it’s on fire. There’s no new subclasses but there are things that we’re going to be talking about later in the summer that help enhance your power in a different way, and we’re really excited about talking about that.”

I’m sure that Destiny players are eager to learn more about these, and I am sure the general sentiment is one of hope, that Bungie reveals whatever it is that they want to reveal soon. Destiny: Rise of Iron will launch later this year for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
