Deep Down Trademark Extension Requested By Capcom

Deep Down may not be as dead as you thought- not if Capcom have anything to say about it, at any rate,

Over three years ago, when Sony first unveiled the PlayStation 4, Capcom uveiled Deep Down, an extremely cool and graphically intensive looking PlayStation 4 exclusive next generation game that promised us the next generation of action adventure gaming. Three years since, we have seen neither hide nor tail of the game-but it seems like Capcom are unwilling to let the game and the project die.

It seems like Capcom have requested an extension of the trademark for Deep Down in the United States (via Reddit), which seems to indicate that they may have plans for the IP going forward- though of course, right now, we don’t know exactly what those plans might even entail in the first place.

Still, assuming that the final product even partially begins to live up to the promise of the product that Capcom first showed off all those years ago, I think very few people, if any, will have cause for complaint. Now we must just wait for an official announcement- perhaps something incoming at the Tokyo Game Show next month?
