Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch will be receiving a free weekend on November 18th to 21st for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game’s full roster of heroes (not including Sombra who’s currently only playable on PTR) will be available along with 13 maps, Quick Play, Custom Games and the latest Weekly Brawl.

If you purchase the game when the free weekend ends, then your progress will carry over into the full game, which is great incentive for retaining all those Loot Box rewards. Also, Overwatch can be fun too we suppose.

The most obvious deduction from this free weekend, however, concerns the release of Sombra. Many are speculating that the newest DPS hero will be deployed once the free weekend is over and given that November 23rd is a Tuesday and the end of Season 2 of Competitive Play, this does seem likely. More specifically, this seems to be the day that other changes like Arcade Mode, no hero stacking in Quick Play and whatnot arrive in the base game.

What are your thoughts on the free weekend? Let us know in the comments.
