Among the many big-name games that will be showcased this week, including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Prey, Mass Effect Andromeda and rumoured titles like The Last of Us 2 and Marvel vs. Capcom 4, we know one game that won’t be seen at either PlayStation Experience or The Game Awards.

Insomniac’s Spiderman, revealed for the first time at E3 2016 and exclusive to the PS4, won’t be seen at either event. As stated on Twitter, “We’re not showing new #SpiderManPS4 content at PSX/The Game Awards, but we’re hard at work on cool stuff to share in 2017!”

The developer understood the disappointment of fans and noted, “We had a very little bit more at the PS4 Pro event. But we understand the disappointment. Working hard here!”

Spiderman is going to be interesting because it has its own standalone story and will be the biggest Marvel game yet. We’ve already seen the acrobatics that ol’ Spidey is capable of and they look pretty damn good, in 4K or otherwise. What are your thoughts on Spiderman not being showcased this week? Let us know below.
