Uncharted The Lost Legacy’s Story is “More Grounded”, Features Largest Level in Series

More information has emerged concerning Naughty Dog’s upcoming side-story Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Taking place before A Thief’s End, this title will feature Chloe and Nadine as the primary characters.

In Game Informer’s recent story on the same (details via IGN), creative director Shaun Escayg said that their relationship will evolve throughout the story and reflect in the plot and gameplay. For instance, Nadine is more likely to help Chloe in combat the more the two trust each other.

Expect The Lost Legacy to be a more “grounded story” with the game reflecting on Chloe’s Indian past (namely her relationship with her father). The Western Ghats are also meant to be the “single largest level we’ve ever done in Uncharted,” as per designer James Cooper. Yes, even bigger than Madagascar in Uncharted 4.

Other gameplay elements include a lockpicking mini-game, special dialogue situations, encounters, collectibles and the most side content yet as per director Kurt Margenau. Finally, Escayg said that familiar characters from previous titles “might” make cameos.
