The Evil Within 2 Is Fully Playable In First Person Mode On The PC

Using console commands, you can play through the entirety of the game this way.

The Evil Within 2 has been pretty well received and has been praised for its tense atmosphere and challenging survival elements (you can read our review for it here). While the game was mostly played from a third-person perspective, there was a section when players briefly experienced the game from a first-person perspective. Now it has been discovered that you can play the entire game from a first-person perspective.

Here’s how to activate this hidden first-person mode. First, the developer console mode has to be enabled. Once that’s done, right click on the game in your Steam library and go to properties. Following this, select ‘launch options’ and type in ‘+com_allowconsole 1′. Now, once in the game, use the ‘Insert’ key to pull up console commands and type in ‘pl_FPS 1’. Now you get to experience the entire game in a whole new light and it’s probably going to be much scarier this way due to the limited view.

You can check out a video by SkaickPL to see how the game looks in first-person mode. As you can see, it appears quite polished and fully functional without many glitches or other problems. Let us know in the comments of what you think of this hidden mode.
