The Division Update 1.8

Much as people would like you to think the game is dead, Tom Clancy’s The Division still has a fairly strong following almost two years after release. Ubisoft Massive is currently gearing up for update 1.8 aka Resistance which has been in testing for several months now. The developer recently announced on its State of the Game live stream that update 1.8 will be releasing next week.

Conditions apply though. The exact release date will be announced on Monday, December 4th which is the same day that patch notes will be published. Until then, we’ll have to play the waiting game to know its exact release.

Update 1.8 adds quite a bit new content with Resistance, a Horde mode with varying challenges; a new zone in West Side Piers which has side missions, assortments of enemy factions working together and timed challenges to complete; 4v4 team deathmatch with three arenas; and new weapons to grind for. There will be a 24 hour stream on launch day so interested players can see what’s in store.
