The jury is still out on the Bloodborne/God Eater split for Bandai Namco’s Code Vein but it still looks incredibly good at this stage. The publisher has released three new gameplay trailers to further showcase the game, from the Home Base that players will rendezvous at to the dungeons “City of Falling Flame” and “Ridge of Frozen Souls.” Check them out below.
As you’d expect, Home Base is where you’ll meet a number of merchants. You can sell items, enhance your weapons and gear and find various NPCs who can follow you into battle. Taking on quests from the different characters will be important as it raises their Affinity to you and allows access to stronger weapons.
Code Vein doesn’t currently have a release date but it’s due out sometime in 2018. The game is in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Bandai Namco is also working on God Eater 3, which will directly continue the events laid out in God Eater 2: Rage Burst.
