Red Dead Redemption 2 Online Features Player Housing, Battle Royale – Rumour

Multiplayer modes, a more reactive world and more apparently await.

Following up on the massive rumoured information about Red Dead Redemption 2’s single-player campaign, the documents received by Trusted Reviews also include details on the online mode. Again, take this with a grain of salt even if we know that an online mode akin to Grand Theft Auto Online is coming.

With that out of the way, the same open world will be available for online play. You’ll receive various missions and earn XP from completing them. The difference is that the world will apparently be more reactive, like NPCs setting up shop in the morning and closing in the evening. Some shops and NPCs will also be able to dole out different missions and items.

There will be player housing in the form of tents which can be purchased and subsequently upgraded. In terms of multiplayer modes, three were mentioned – Battle Royale, Revive and Survive and Money Grab. Revive and Survive is about two teams battling and fallen comrades being available for revive within limited spans of time. Money Grab is much like Capture the Flag but with bags of money that must be captured and brought back to base.

As for Battle Royale, there’s no information provided so don’t freak out yet about it being similar to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or Fortnite: Battle Royale. The playlist format for these modes will return and we can also apparently expect a mini-game devoted to poker. There will also be a companion app with “social elements.”

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out on October 26th for PS4 and Xbox One. What are your thoughts on this so-called leaked information? Let us known in the comments below.
