Rainbow Six: Siege Hits 30 Million Players

Which is extremely well deserved.

Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six: Siege mounted the comeback of a lifetime. The game, which reimagined the fan favourite series as a multiplayer only team shooter, didn’t do all that hot when it released back in 2015–but persistent, great post launch support from Ubisoft led to the game fostering a community of players who stuck with it, a community that grew, and today, the game is one of the most popular titles in the market.

How popular? Well, today Ubisoft announced that the multiplayer shooter has hit 30 million players worldwide—that’s PUBG level (albeit accumulated over a longer period of time). The success also reaffirms Ubisoft’s excellent post launch support strategy for all of their games (which is why even titles like The Division, The Crew, and For Honor have managed to mount comebacks after middling launches).

Rainbow Six: Siege is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. If you haven’t tried it already, get on it!
