Crimson Desert - Barber Shop

At this point, you would think it impossible for Crimson Desert, Pearl Abyss’s open-world action RPG, to stuff any more features and systems. But on top of base-building through the Greymane camp, cooking, farming, fishing, committing crimes, and more, each of the three playable characters can have their appearance customized via the Barber Shop.

Based on the latest Features Overview trailer, you can select multiple different hairstyles, change hair color from a range of options, equip face and body tattoos, and adjust beards and eyebrows. No, it’s not full-fledged character creation, but it is a step above what we’ve seen in, say, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Outfits can also be dyed with distinctions for separate parts (and even options for different materials). Dyes are found through exploration or alchemy, and even allow for customizing your horse and pilotable War Robot. A few different looks for Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka are showcased, and coupled with the sheer amount of armor sets, there’s bound to be a lot of cosmetic variety.

Launching on March 19th, Crimson Desert will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. While it looks to be a massive experience at launch, Pearl Abyss isn’t opposed to adding more content if there’s a demand.
