Crimson Desert - Missions

The third and final Features Overview trailer for Pearl Abyss’s Crimson Desert is now available, and this one is even more wide-ranging than the previous two, covering life in Pywel. Since Kliff’s journey is to search for and reunite the Greymane mercenaries, it only makes sense that their camp would be a major focus.

If you’ve played Red Dead Redemption 2, some of this will look familiar. By gathering resources, you can upgrade the camp, contributing to construction, cooking meals, purchasing provisions, and even arranging furniture in buildings. Running low on certain ingredients? Grow them yourself or manage the ranch. Yes, on top of everything else that Crimson Desert has to offer, there’s a bit of life sim in here.

While any Greymanes found in the wild will rendezvous at camp, some may hear about it in passing and head on over, thus bolstering your ranks. Which will be extremely helpful when it’s time to dispatch them on missions. Building landmarks is one thing, especially since each Greymane has skills better suited to the task, but you can also send them to besiege fortresses while doing something else.

Upon finally heading there to clean things up, Kliff should encounter less hostile resistance. Crimson Desert launches on March 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and this only scratches the surface of what Pywel has to offer. Check out our previous coverage here and here for more details.
