The next Free Play Days weekend for Xbox Live Gold subscribers is coming up and it’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The Battle Royale title has made quite an impact on the console, to say nothing of its PC success. On April 19th at 12:01 AM PDT to April 22nd at 11:59 PM PDT, new players will have a chance to try the game out for themselves.

However, as noted above, you need to have Xbox Live Gold in order to access it. Given that a subscription is required to even access multiplayer on console, that definitely makes sense. All content is playable though and any progress earned will transfer over if you purchase the full game.

Though it’s still not a solid 30 frames per seconds, performance has improved substantially for the title since launch. Despite still being in Game Preview, Xbox’s version of early access, over 4 million players have bought in for the chance at a chicken dinner. PUBG Corp will have more updates coming soon including a smaller map called Codename: Savage.
