Meanwhile, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life makes a strong debut in third place.

As noted earlier, God of War PS4 has an incredible debut in the UK, surpassing first week sales for God of War 3 by 35 percent. This is despite releasing worldwide on Friday, April 20th and being absent on the Amazon UK store before launch (digital sales are not included).

According to Gfk Chart-Track, God of War has unseated Far Cry 5, the latter reigning in the top spot for three weeks straight. Far Cry 5 is currently in second place but a more interesting debut is Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, making its debut in third place, besting Yakuza Kiwami’s sales record by 300 units.

FIFA 18 is currently in fourth place, followed by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in fifth. Super Mario Odyssey has risen from sixth to eighth place in the interim while Fallout 4 remains in seventh. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One suffered a minor setback, falling from fifth to eighth place. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild re-enters the charts at ninth place with Grand Theft Auto 5 falling from fourth to tenth.
