People have been eagerly anticipating an announcement and official reveal for Borderlands 3 for a long time now, and while recent rumours suggested that the game might be closer than we think, with many believing that it would even be unveiled at E3 2018, other newer reports have suggested that that might not be the case. Randy Pitchford, Gearbox boss, recently took to Twitter to talk about the game, about how people have been anticipating its reveal for so long, and jokingly drew comparisons with the legendary and non-existent Half-Life 3.
Pitchford spoke about the game quite a bit in a 6 tweet-long Twitter thread, and mentioned how, even if he categorically states that Borderlands 3 wouldn’t be at E3 this year, some people would still choose to believe that his saying that is evidence of the exact opposite. He then went on to joke about how “Borderlands 3 may be destined to be the next Half-Life 3 in that regard”.
Pitchford went on to mention how he appreciates just how much the game means to so many people, before assuring that Gearbox is hard at work on the game. Still no official reveal, though, and it does indeed look like it won’t be at this year’s E3. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates.
4/ For example, I could write it out now precisely and specifically that “Borderlands 3” will not be at E3 and many of you will choose not to believe it. Many of you will find a way to interpret the intent to suit what you want to believe regardless of what is true.

5/ In fact, this aspect of human nature is so powerful that it is more likely this thread will increase the volume of the debate rather than diminish it. It feels as if “Borderlands 3” may be destined to be the next Half-Life 3 in that regard.

6/ I *love* how important Borderlands is to so many of you. The developers of Gearbox Software are working harder than we have ever worked in order to create new and exciting things in hopes of entertaining you. Your passion fuels us. Thank you! I love you!
