Destiny 2 Year 2 reveal

Destiny 2’s Warmind DLC isn’t even a month old and Sony’s E3 2018 presser is on June 11th but Bungie isn’t waiting. The developer announced that it will reveal Year 2 content for its shooter which more or less indicates that we’ll be seeing the September expansion.

Taking place on Twitch at 9 AM PST, the reveal will have Game Director Steve Cotton and Project Lead Scott Taylor to discuss what’s coming up. This will presumably include new gameplay features in free patches. Perhaps we’ll see the revamped loadout system? Either way, judging by the teaser image above, Destiny 2 will be returning to the Reef in some form. Maybe Prison of Elders is making a grand old comeback?

Destiny 2’s September expansion hasn’t been discussed much yet. We only know that it will have a new mode with a “whole new style of play.” Will it be enough to raise the sequel back up to the popularity of its predecessor? We’ll have to wait for more details so stay tuned.
