Metro Exodus Receives Gorgeous New Screenshots

Terrifying creatures, snowy environments and beautiful lighting ahoy.

The leaks continue to come in as 4A Games’ Metro Exodus has some new screenshots for your viewing pleasure. They come courtesy of Iashman on Twitter and ResetEra and only fuel more anticipation for the game’s possible appearance at Microsoft’s E3 2018 presser.

The screenshots showcase quite a bit. We already know that Artyom and his friends have abandoned the Metro and travel across the country in a locomotive called Aurora. Taking place over the period of a year, we see some terrifying monsters and even a gorgeously rendered view from inside of a house. Say what you will about the gameplay but 4A Games continues to deliver on its visuals.

Metro Exodus was originally slated to release this year for Xbox One, PS4 and PC in the Fall. It was subsequently delayed to Q1 2019 in order to polish the final product. Along with sandbox-like and linear levels, there will also be a dynamic weather system, day/night cycle and environments that change with the seasons.
