Days Gone Will Have A Seamless Open World With No Load Times

Each interior can be explored.

Much like its brethren in the open world genre (such as The Witcher 3, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or the upcoming Cyberpunk), it looks like Days Gone, Sony Bend’s upcoming open world zombie survival shooter, will feature an open world that is fully seamless, too. Which means, yep, no loading times whatsoever (unlike what you might encounter in a Bethesda game).

It won’t just be seamless, either- the interiors in the game are going to be fully accessible, for example. This means the interiors will also be fully explorable, and can be used by the player to their advantage (or could be hiding terrifying threats)- which is kind of necessary when you are making a survival open world game, after all. I wonder if the world will also have a state of persistence- that could be really impressive if it does.

Days Gone is due out exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on February 22, 2019.
