Recently, 4A Games talked about its plans for the Xbox One X version of Metro Exodus. Given the amount of attention that the first-apocalyptic shooter has been receiving at Microsoft’s presser in 2017 and 2018, one would think there’s a bias towards the console.

Fortunately, that’s not the case. Speaking to GamingBolt at E3 2018, Deep Silver head of global brand management Huw Beynon offered a few details on the PS4 Pro version. Of course, while a direct answer wasn’t provided regarding resolution and framerate, Beynon did state that, “I think the PS4 Pro version is going to turn out great. The engine is highly scalable.

“So for the last game, with the same piece of tech we got to run on Xbox 360 and PS3, but we also had the enhanced version for PS4 and Xbox One. High-end PC graphics cards are paramount. Its track record speaks for itself when you’re looking at performance. So rest assured, if you have a PS4 Pro It’s gonna look great.”

Unfortunately, Metro Exodus won’t be coming to the Nintendo Switch. At the very least, there are no plans to bring the game to the hybrid platform. “We’re kind of busy on the console platforms right now.” One would imagine that translating that level of visual fidelity to the Switch would be a tough task.

Metro Exodus releases on February 22nd 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It was originally scheduled for Fall 2018 but then delayed to allow for more polish.
