The Division 2

We’ve been hearing a lot about The Division 2 since its full reveal at E3 earlier this year, and the more we hear about it, the more excited we get for it- cautiously, at the very least. Another new detail that we’ve learnt about the game is that it will be making use its more dynamic setting to provide players with a vast amount of varied content.

We recently interviewed Chadi El-Zibaoui, the associate creative director of the game, and we asked him if The Division 2 would be making use of the kind of randomly generated missions we saw in the first game’s Underground DLC, and El-Zibaoui told us that the game will be creating varied content for its players in other ways. There is a strong focus on the survivors of the pandemic this time around, and that’s going to be reflected in how the game is structured as well, as different factions of survivors will form factions and will dynamically interact with each other, providing players with different gameplay opportunities.

“We’ll have varied content,” El-Zibaoui told GamingBolt. “We have something that is going to add much more dynamic content within the campaign, within the world. So, this is what we call a ‘living world.’ In this context, the factions, civilians they all need resources; after seven months everyone wants food and water, medicine. So, there will be resource control points spread within the city, and the factions will fight for it dynamically. This is something that will add a lot of content to the world.”

That seems to be in line with the general theme of the game having a great deal more content than its predecessor. We know for a fact, for instance, that within the very first year The Division 2 is going to have a large number of raids, while Ubisoft have also promised a robust single player offering for those who want to play the game solo. Whatever Ubisoft are doing seems to be working as well. People are definitely excited about the game- The Division 2 has more beta registrations than any other Ubisoft game ever.
