The Division 2 Will Have Multiple Raids in Year One

Creative director Julian Gerighty reveals a few new details about the end-game activity.

Ubisoft Massive made quite the impact at E3 2018 with Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. On top of delivering the same kind of gameplay that fans loved about the original with interesting tweaks, The Division 2 also promises to have more content and a stronger end-game.

One core component of that end-game will be raids, a co-op activity that was highly requested in the first game. Creative Director Julian Gerighty already confirmed that there would be an eight player raid coming (and it will likely be part of the free DLC in Year One). However, in a recent interview with GamerTag Radio, Gerighty also confirmed that multiple raids would be delivered in the first year.

The first raid won’t drop at launch – it may likely arrive a few weeks afterward – but it is a strong end-game focus, containing unique rewards that will showcase the player’s accomplishments. Till now, the developer hasn’t really revealed how raids will differ from Incursions, the de-facto four main end-game activity from The Division. We’ll have to wait for more information over the next few months.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will release on March 15th 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
