LIFE IS STRANGE

Life is Strange is one of the best games of this generation, featuring an intriguing plot, excellent characterization, great interactions, a fantastic soundtrack, and some heart warming helpings of nostalgia thrown in to boot. It launched three years ago for consoles and PC, and was then made available for iOS devices last year– now, it’s also available on Android devices, which basically everyone in the world has one of.

What this means is, if you haven’t played the game already, you really need to do so now. You have no excuse. It’s incredibly cheap, too- the first chapter is totally free, the second chapter is available for just a dollar, and then the remaining three chapters are $5 apiece. In fact, you can just get the whole season for $9, if you don’t fancy spending the (totally worth it, by the way) $16 you otherwise would have to.

To run the game, you need to be running Android 6.0 or higher, with your device supporting OpenGL, and running on a 64 bit ARM processor, and a minimum of 2 GB of RAM. So only the higher end phones will be able to run the game properly- that said, if you want to give it a try on a lower end device, feel free to give it a go.

Dontnod Entertainment and Square Enix are also preparing for a second season of Life is Strange, which will be kicking off in September. They also recently released a free standalone prequel episode to build hype and excitement for the game- you can read our review for The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit here.
