Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice

Ninja Theory may have been acquired by Microsoft for developing first party games but it’s still supporting Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The third person action title received praise last year for its narrative, character-building and visual fidelity. However, it seems the developer will be upping the immersion further with a VR version of the game set to release on July 31st.

Announced for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, the VR version will encompass the entire game. This means you can experience Senua’s tortured journey from start to finish in VR. Though it’s not currently confirmed for PlayStation VR, those who own the Steam version will receive the VR mode completely free. This applies to future purchases as well.

Check out the developer diary from Ninja Theory where it discusses the thought process behind the VR version (warning: An Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 is recommended to run it properly). Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice first released on PC and PS4 last year, before making its way to Xbox One in April 2018.
