Monster Hunter World Updated Event Schedule 2

Monster Hunter World’s PC version’s release is almost here, and as it approaches, we’re beginning to learn newer details about features that will be added to the game that were not included in its original release on the PS4 and Xbox One. One such change is the one that’s been made to in-game squads.

More specifically, these have now been replaced by Steam groups, as Destructoid reveals. Apparently, there’s no way to tell which of your group members are currently online unless you click on the “View Steam Group Information”, which takes you to your group’s Steam page. While this particular bit of navigation is admittedly clunky, I suppose Capcom can easily fix it with post-launch patches, while I do also feel like the integration of Steam groups with the game’s more social features makes sense, and should work rather well.

Monster Hunter World launches on August 9 for PC, while it is currently already available on PS4 and Xbox One. Head on over here to check the game’s system requirements to see if your rig can run it, or here if you want to check out some new gameplay footage for the PC version that was recently released. Meanwhile, here’s ten essential things you need to know about the PC version of Monster Hunter World.
