Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout

The private multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now live for PlayStation 4 owners, offering two maps and a 6v6 Team Deathmatch variant with more than one of the same Specialist playable on each team. Available only for those who pre-ordered, Xbox One and PC owners will have the pleasure of experiencing the beta next weekend.

However, if you’re over and done with the beta already, don’t delete it from your console. Charlie Intel reported on Twitter that the downloaded beta file will automatically update to the beta for Blackout when it goes live in September. Though the overall size of the update is still unknown, it should be smaller than simply downloading the entire file plus the update from scratch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out on October 12th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It makes several major changes to the standard formula like no campaign, three Zombies maps, the introduction of Battle Royale and standalone missions focused on its multiplayer Specialists. Despite some backlash to the changes and the Black Ops Pass, pre-orders seem fairly strong thus far.
