World War Z

Saber Interactive’s World War Z has been an interesting look at co-op third-person shooting against a literal horde of zombies. With its latest trailer, the developer shares some new insight into how dangerous the horde can be. Check it out below.

Along with “dynamic swarm simulation”, a fancy way of saying that the ebb and flow of the horde will change as zombies are killed, there will be different types of zombies with different behaviour. Some zombies will leap at you, desperate for a bite, while others wear heavy armour and charge down lanes to get you. If that weren’t enough, the horde can pile on top of each other and climb up to higher spaces a la the 2013 World War Z film.

There are some other cool things to see as well, like “adaptive spawn control”, indicating that the horde won’t spawn in the same places twice, and “advanced gore” as literal pieces of zombies come flying off with bullets. On top of all this, Saber Interactive revealed that World War Z would arrive for Xbox One, PS4, and PC in 2019. What are your thoughts on the new trailer? Let us know below.
