Though retail copies are currently out in the wild, which means numerous spoilers for those who own the game, Insomniac’s Spider-Man is due to officially release on September 7th. Insomniac’s community lead James Stevenson provided some more information on the game and confirmed that a day one patch is coming.
The patch size hasn’t been revealed but overall, players will need a minimum of 45 GB free space for the game. More details about the patch will be provided close to launch, though more accessibility options are confirmed to be included. As for game length, Stevenson said that the “average” playtester took 20 hours to beat the story.
This is on the default difficulty, but side quests and other activities in the open world aren’t included. Expect a lot more to do in the final game. Spider-Man releases exclusively for the PlayStation 4 next week. The review embargo lifts on September 4th, so you won’t have to wait long to find out how good (or bad) the game is.
it will in our Day 1 Update, but we will be sharing final details on that closer to release

will try to have an answer on that soon, but 45 GB minimum, probably a bit more + patch and stuff

our average play tester took around 20 hours on default difficulty, but some spent a lot longer if they did a ton of side quests/activities
