Out of nowhere, CD Projekt RED released a meaty, 50 minute-long video of gameplay footage for their upcoming Cyberpunk 2077. The very same demo that had been shown off at E3 2018, the larger public finally got to see what the fuss was all about, and it blew everyone away. One of the many things that a lot of people noticed was just how great it looked, and it seems like the game’s PC version is definitely going to leverage some of the best technologies currently available to bring its world to life.

A user on Reddit has posted a leaked image of the settings menu from the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077, giving us a look at the graphical options the game will let players fiddle around. While a lot of it is pretty standard fare, including toggles for things like V-Sync, resolution, shadows, reflection quality, and textures, two things in particular are particularly eye-catching.

In the settings menu (you can take a look at it below), Nvidia Ray Tracing and Nvidia HairWorks are both mentioned. Ray Tracing, or RTX, is a technology that is used to achieve significantly better lighting in games (if we’re being completely reductionist about it), while HairWorks, as the name suggests, allows for much better hair visuals and physics (it was also used in the PC version of Final Fantasy XV, and the results were immediately apparent).

Of course, the image may or may not be accurate- it may or may not actually be from the game, and CD Projekt RED might even end up not using these techs, given that they’re still in development. That said, the Cyberpunk 2077 has posted a couple of tweets in response to questions from fans that suggest that they do seem to be partnering up with Nvidia for the usage of these two techs in their upcoming game. You can take a look at the tweets below as well.

Cyberpunk 2077 is without a release date, but CD Projekt RED have stated they aim to launch on current gen systems. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates.
