It was revealed quite some time ago that Metro Exodus would make use of Ray Tracing tech to add yet another layer of realism to its visuals. From what we’ve seen of the game so far, it does look absolutely gorgeous, and now Nvidia has released a brand new video, which showcases 6 minutes of gameplay from the game with RTX mode enabled.

If you want to know just how much of a difference ray tracing makes to the lighting effects, the video offers a comparison between the game using real-time Ray Tracing, and the game using the old lighting effects. The video is captured from actual gameplay, but it does put up a disclaimer stating that it is a beta version of the game. Needless to say, when the game uses real-time Ray Tracing, it looks much better, with lots of subtle improvements to the lighting effects.

You can check the video out below to see for yourself the difference that Ray Tracing makes. Metro Exodus is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 22, 2019.
