Anthem Devs Answer Questions About Wide Screen Support, Matchmaking, Weapons, and More

Mark Darrah and Michael Gamble answer various questions about the game.

The developers of Anthem have been quite forthcoming with details about the game, including information about their approach to the game’s story, details about its map size, and how players can try the game out early, among other things. They’ve also been holding weekly Q&A sessions on Twitter, and this week, they answered questions regarding daily quests, matchmaking options, and more.

BioWare’s lead producer Michael Gamble and Executive Producer Mark Darrah answered some of the fans’ questions about the upcoming game. Gamble answered a question regarding what his “Anthem moment” of the week was, and he described barely surviving a 4 player stronghold on Veteran difficulty. Given how some games only have matchmaking for some activities, a user asked in another tweet whether it would be available for every activity in Anthem, and Mark Darrah confirmed that it would be.

Regarding whether the game will have ultra-wide screen support, Darrah stated that he is not certain about this, but also said that the game is being played on a super wide screen monitor in their office without any problems. One user also inquired about whether the game will have daily quests, daily log-in rewards and in response, Darrah said that the game will have “daily things”, which isn’t all that specific, but does answer the question, if a little vaguely.

Additionally, there were also some questions that the developers weren’t ready to answer yet, including stuff about their plans for tie-in novels, social features, and the number of weapons that will be in the game. You can check out all of the tweets below. Anthem is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 22, 2019.
