Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2, the year’s biggest release, is almost upon us, and with every passing day, we’re more ready than ever to jump back into Rockstar’s grand vision of the American Frontier. Red Dead Redemption back in 2010 was an incredible experience, markedly different from Rockstar’s usual Grand Theft Auto games in several ways, and that’s obviously going to continue in the upcoming sequel as well.

Rockstar Intel recently put up a tweet, claiming that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be much slower paced than what you would remember from Grand Theft Auto 5. Which makes sense, given the setting and the tone of both franchises. While GTA promises to be an action packed modern day crime story with heavy dozes of dark and unapologetically crass humour, Red Dead Redemption, with its slow burn style of storytelling and more grounded looks at various aspects of the Wild West, offers something different.

Recently, we’ve been treated to a great deal of new info on Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar have spoken about everything from the game’s large and living world, to the bevy of choices it will offer to players in gameplay, to how it’s looking to blur the lines between story missions and side content. It’s going to be huge- so huge, in fact, that it’ll require 105 GB of your system’s memory.

Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on October 26 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
