Naughty Dog Working On “A Secret New Project” – Rumour

Recent rumours indicate that Naughty Dog is already working on whatever's next after The Last of Us Part 2.

Tens of millions are looking forward to Naughty Dog’s next big title, The Last of Us Part 2, but if recent rumours are to be believed, work might already be underway at the studio on whatever it is that comes next. Twitter user Daniel R, a film insider who’s been known to accurately leak information about several big projects in the past (mostly related to Marvel or DC films and TV shows), is reporting new information on Naughty Dog’s next project.

Whatever it is, it’s being called a “secret new project”, for which Naughty Dog are reportedly casting actors in Los Angeles. Supposedly, for the one of the game’s leads, they’re looking to cast a “Black/African American male” in his “40s to 60s”. Interestingly enough, according to the report, alongside their casting call they attached a photo of Chad Coleman (who played Tyreese in The Walking Dead TV show) for reference, since they’re looking for someone with a body type that is “strong but not chiseled” and who has “short to medium length hair”.

If this is indeed true, that would suggest that the project Naughty Dog are now working on might potentially be a new IP- but then again, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s not an Uncharted or The Last of Us sequel (although it’s highly unlikely that they’d already be looking to cast actors for yet another The Last of Us sequel when The Last of Us 2 isn’t even out of development yet).

If this is true. Remember that this is just a rumour, and you should take it as such. There’s not much to back the credibility or validity of these reports at this point. Either way, stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you updated in case any new info comes our way.
