Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been positively received, in no small part thanks to Blackout. The Battle Royale mode is arguably the most polished on the market currently. However, it hasn’t really seen any major map additions since its introduction. That could be changing next week though.
A recent tweet from the developer showcases a radar picking up a blip above Nuketown Island. Nothing else is known, save for the text at the bottom, which says “CONFIDENTIAL 12-11-18”. That certainly sounds like a release date of December 11th to us. What could this particular blip be though?
Some fans are speculating Hijacked from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The map is essentially a large super-yacht that’s been hijacked out at sea, and which players can fight through. While it remains to be seen how this will fit the overall scale of the Battle Royale mode, further nods to classic Black Ops maps would be awesome.
