World War Z Trailer is Another Mess of Zombies

The horde's "dynamic swarm simulation" is on full display in this new trailer.

World War Z

Saber Interactive’s World War Z has looked rather impressive in past trailers, especially with how the sheer scale of combat works. However, while we’re intrigued by things such as how its six classes, each with their own abilities, will function in the game, really, it’s all about the horde. The undead horde, that is. Check out their latest trailer below.

The developer has promised up to 1,000 zombies on screen at once, and it seems to be delivering. Zombies will pour over each other in one torrent, or climb on top of each other, like in the film, to reach their prey. Thanks to “dynamic swarm simulation”, different zombies will exhibit different behaviours, like leaping, biting, and charging.

Killing zombies will also affect how the horde charges at you, which is even more interesting. World War Z is slated to release in 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. No further release details have been provided, but hopefully we’ll learn more in the coming days.
