Nintendo has announced a brand new Nintendo Switch bundle for the US that will start showing up on store shelves later this month. This bundle will include a Neon Joycon Nintendo Switch console, as well as $35 worth of eShop credit included. Incidentally, $35 of eShop credit is the exact amount of money you need to buy Stardew Valley and Hollow Knight.
I presume this is Nintendo’s gambit to keep sales going in a period that is traditionally slow for console sales to begin with, and is devoid of any new releases for them this year. Nintendo now has a reduced forecast of 17 million units of Nintendo Switch hardware sold for the fiscal year, but even so presumably want to take no chances with keeping units moving. I personally feel they should make the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch bundle they announced for Black Friday permanent, as it’s best value for customers, but given how Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sells anyway, it’s not hard to see why they don’t want to do that just yet.
As for this bundle, it will start showing up in store shelves starting February 15.
Starting 2/15, a new limited-time #NintendoSwitch bundle that includes a $35 Nintendo #eShop Download Code will be available for $299.99 MSRP. You'll be able to use that credit towards games like New #SuperMario Bros. U Deluxe and Super #SmashBrosUltimate! https://t.co/sKAoQyr3gI pic.twitter.com/Q7kkCawCyB
