Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Black Friday Bundle Revealed

It’s a good bundle overall, but I wonder how it will do against the competition.

Nintendo’s official Black Friday bundle appears to be one that will come with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe included for no additional cost, according to a listing on Best Buy. Given that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the best games Nintendo has ever made, and a title that has sold a lot, with an almost 50% attach rate on the Switch, this is a good move. Many people naturally buy Mario Kart with a Switch, and now it’s included for no additional cost.

Effectively, this is a price cut on the system, but it also leaves Nintendo with the wiggle room to do an actual price drop later in the future. It also joins a lineup of a great variety of bundles Nintendo is offering this Holiday—Mario Tennis Aces, Fortnite, Pokemon Let’s Go, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Diablo 3: Eternal Collection. That said, I do think the PS4 Slim Spider-Man bundle for $200 represents a better deal, so it remains to be seen just how well the Switch can hold its own against it.

You can check out the packaging for the bundle below. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is out now on Nintendo Switch.
