Path of Exile: Synthesis Announced – Venture Into Shattered Memories on March 8th

Fractured Items, Uniques, and a complete overhaul of spells are coming with the newest League.

Path of Exile Synthesis

Grinding Gear Games have revealed the newest League coming to Path of Exile. It’s called Synthesis, and involves a new character named Cavas, whose memories are in shambles. To help him remember the past, you collect memory fragments throughout the world and battle through heaps of monsters to stabilize the memories.

Certain fragments can be used to move through Cavas’ mind, creating a path towards certain rewards. They have limited uses, so decide carefully where you want to go next. You’ll eventually come across Fractured Items with locked mods. Take these to the Synthesizer in the memories and you’ll be able to create base items with interesting mods attached to them.

That’s only scratching the surface of this expansion though. You can also expect six new Chaos and Holy spells, a complete overhaul of all current spells, new Divination Cards, and 16 new Unique items to discover. Path of Exile’s Synthesis League goes live on March 8th.

Don’t worry if you haven’t received everything in the Betrayal League – that content will be rolled over into the Standard League. The Atlas is being shifted around as well, for those occupied with the end-game.
