Days Gone

The Freakers roam free in SIE Bend Studio’s Days Gone, an open world action adventure title releasing next month. And while the wilderness isn’t safe for protagonist Deacon St. John, it’s still very beautiful. To highlight the beauty, players can utilize the game’s Photo Mode, which is available at launch.

On the PlayStation Blog, game director Jeff Ross says the objective of the mode was “To make players feel like they’re manipulating a real camera in the real world.” Out of the box, there are nine custom frames, 18 filter presets, and logo options. Players can also select a variety of facial expressions while toggling character and bike visibility.

Field of view, focal distance, aperture, film grain, and much more can also be manipulated. A nice feature to use is Focus Lock, which creates a constant focus point regardless of where the camera is moved. There are tons of options available, and it’s likely that more will be added post-launch.

Days Gone releases on April 26th for PS4.
