Asobo Studio’s A Plague Tale: Innocence has been generating excitement for a good few months now, and despite not being the most flashy upcoming release, has already managed to get a fair few people quite hyped for its launch. Now, more than a month before its arrival, its gone gold.

Taking to Twitter, the game’s official page posted an update, which said that developers Asobo Studio have officially wrapped up development on the game. While they may (and probably will) still be working on ironing out minor kinks and bugs here and there, primary development on the game has wrapped up, and any other work that is now done will likely come in the form of patches on or close to the game’s release date.

A Plague Tale: Innocence promises to be a harrowing narrative-driven experience. The developers have said that its campaign will take roughly 12-15 hours to finish– you can check out some of its uncut gameplay footage through here. If you’re looking for more information on the game, make sure to read our recent interview with the game’s director Kevin Choteau.

A Plague Tale: Innocence launches on May 14 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
