Destiny 2 Season of the Drifter

Did you spend a number of seasons in Bungie’s Destiny 2, grinding the Competitive playlist for two of the best Pinnacle Weapons – Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten? Well, good news – the development team is planning to nerf both when the Season of Opulence rolls around. In its recent weekly update, the developer revealed its planned changes for the Crucible handcannons.

First, the signature perk on both weapons, “Magnificent Howl”, is being changed. Deemed “too effective,” the perk will be adjusted to increase body-shot damage instead of headshot damage. This will ensure that players aren’t two-tapping the opposition with the perk active. Both guns will also become 150 RPM precision handcannons.

That means their firing speed and damage will be affected as a whole. Unfortunately, this change will likely make both weapons inferior on consoles where bloom is still a big problem for many handcannons. There’s currently no starting date for Season of Opulence, which is the third premium content release in the Annual Pass roadmap. Stay tuned for more details.
