The Creative Assembly’s latest title in the vaunted Total War franchise, Total War: Three Kingdoms, is now available for PC. Featuring the series’ time-tested formula of turn-based expansion and real-time battles, Total War: Three Kingdoms brings a number of new features and improvements. Check out the launch trailer below (along with a video on how to steal characters).

Total War: Three Kingdoms is based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series. It features a variety of warlords, all vying to take down Dong Zhuo and unite China. Some warlords seek to become Emperor, but that means fighting others who wish to claim the title. It’s a time of diplomacy, politics, trading, and, of course, war.

As the most pre-ordered title in the franchise yet, Total War: Three Kingdoms offers two modes – Romance and Records – which alter the realism inherent in the story. There’s also a revamped diplomacy system for more effectively dealing with your neighbours, retinues for organizing units, and the Guanxi system for managing your generals.

Check out GamingBolt’s official review of the game here. Expect even more content after launch, especially with the developer announcing Chapter Packs and mod tools to be rolled out in the future.
