Judgment has been throwing a spotlight on its English dub in the lead up to its release. Usually, characters are highlighted (we see this a lot now with Nintendo’s marketing of Fire Emblem: Three Houses), but it’s really rare for the dub itself to get so much attention, and even less so the voices behind it. Sega has been doing something a little different here with the Yakuza spinoff, and today we have a new video showcasing a character and voice actor from different sides of the road.

You can check out the video below to see Matthew Mercer, a long time voice actor in the industry, talking about his role in the game as detective Mitsuru Kuroiwa. He breaks down how he, as a pretty laid back guy, gets into the headspace of this hardboiled, no-nonsense detective, who has little time or patience as he relentlessly goes towards his goal, and on a head-on collision with the main protagonist.

Judgment releases June 25th on the PlayStation 4. You can check out the last few character and voice actor features in the meantime.
