Dead Island 2

Dead Island 2 is a curious game- it was announced years ago, and since then has seen a tumultuous development cycle. It has changed developers and been delayed, while the publishers have had to come out time and time and time again to assure fans that yes, the game is still very much under development, and hasn’t been cancelled- they did that as recently as last month, in fact.

Now, though, it seems like there’s been some tangible progress made- or that’s the inference one could certainly draw from this recent development. Over on the Microsoft Store, the game’s listing has opened up the option to pre-order the game.

It’s unusual for pre-orders of a game to be opened if they’re very far away from launch, but there’s also the chance that this could just be a mistake- not to mention that fact a pre-order listing isn’t something to read too much into in most cases.

Either way, we’ll keep you updated, so stay tuned.
