Coffee Stain Studios' Jace Varlet says, "This is our best launch ever."

Satisfactory

Coffee Stain Studios’ Satisfactory has been a strong success since it entered early access on the Epic Games Store. It’s sold 507,734 copies, as per programmer/community manager Jace Varlet in a recent video. This comes after joking that the title hasn’t been performing all that great (especially since it’s only available on the Epic Games Store).

Varlet said, “This is our best launch ever for Coffee Stain. This is just super cool. It has exceeded all of our expectations. It’s just amazing.” It’s especially interesting when you consider Satisfactory’s genre – no one at Coffee Stain Studios was sure it would do well, as per Varlet.

Satisfactory launched for early access in March, with the developer releasing a major update that added new research chains, milestones, and even a new weapon. Even more updates are inbound, and with the Epic Games Store mega-sale still ongoing, it’s likely that even more players will get in on the action. Stay tuned for more updates for the game in the meantime, especially with the PC Gaming Show taking place on June 10th, 10 AM PDT.
