Gearbox has showcased two Vault Hunters – Amara and Zane – in the lead-up to Borderlands 3’s release. At E3 2019, it released a gameplay demo for the third – Moze, a Gunner who can summon a mech called Iron Bear. Check out the demo below and watch Moze decimate her foes.

Taking place on Eden-6, a swampy planet with a Vault Key, we see the game’s classic looting and shooting in action. Moze’s abilties are interesting because she can eventually shoot and sprint, providing more mobility. As for Iron Bear, it has a minigun and homing missiles along with its own HP pool. It also runs on fuel which can be refilled by killing enemies.

One skill has Iron Bear hanging around after Moze exits, providing a Deathtrap-esque ally for a short time. We also get a look at some interesting weapons, including the tracking Smart Bullets. Overall, it’s not a bad demo and features familiar characters like Moxxi and Zer0.

Borderlands 3 is out on September 13th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. We recently learned that the level cap at launch is 50 and that duels will be returning.
