Several hours before Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct presentation, it seems that at least one announcement has been leaked. It seems that The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, a remake of the classic Game Boy title, will be coming to the Switch on September 20th in Japan. This is according to Amazon Japan, which quickly deleted the listing for the same (but not before ResetEra’s Atheerios spotted it).
Given that the release date falls on a Friday, it doesn’t seem all that far-fetched. Even if Nintendo doesn’t announce a release date, it will have the game playable on the show floor for all and sundry. Other titles that attendees will have a chance to play include Pokemon Sword and Shield, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and more.
Nintendo is also expected to provide a release date for Cadence of Hyrule, the mash-up of Crypt of the NecroDancer and The Legend of Zelda. It’s out sometime this month and many believe it will be dropped during today’s Nintendo Direct. Stay tuned for more information and updates in the meantime.
