Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Guide: All Cheat Codes and How to Unlock Them

Beenox’s Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled wouldn’t be as zany and over-the-top as the original game if there weren’t any cheats. Fortunately, there are plenty of classic cheats and several new ones to unlock.

To activate cheats, first go to the main menu and hold down L1 and R1 on PS4, LB and RB on Xbox One, or L and R on the Nintendo Switch. Input the cheat commands as provided below. A sound will play if it’s been entered correctly.

Keep in mind that when cheats are enabled, you won’t be able to earn any Wumpa Coins and can’t complete Grand Prix Challenges, Adventure Rewards and Trophies (with some exceptions). The cheats can be disabled by going into Adventure Mode. Only one cheat can be active at any given time – activating a different one will effectively override the previous cheat.

Here are some of the cheats you can utilize along with their commands (for PS4 users). Note that the unlockable characters can be obtained through other means as well:

  • Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! Demo: Down, Circle, Triangle, Right
  • Unlock Penta Penguin: Down, Right, Triangle, Down, Left, Triangle, Up
  • Unlock Fake Crash: Circle, Down, Down, Up, Circle, Circle, Down, Left, Right
  • Unlock Komodo Joe: Down, Circle, Left, Left, Triangle, Right, Down
  • 1 Lap Races: Down, Up, Down, Down, Right, Up, Down, Right, Triangle, Down
  • Unlock Pinstripe: Left, Right, Triangle, Down, Right, Down
  • Unlock Ripper Roo: Right, Circle, Cicle, Down, Up, Down, Right
  • Unlock Scrapbook: Up, Up, Down, Right, Right, Left, Right, Triangle, Right
  • Unlock Turbo Track and All Arenas: Right, Right, Left, Triangle, Right, Down, Down
  • Beakers and Explosive Crates Only: Right, Up, Down, Up, Right, Circle
  • Display Boost Counter: Triangle, Down, Down, Circle, Up
  • Infinite Aku Aku/Uka Uka: Left, Triangle, Right, Left, Circle, Right, Down, Down
  • Infinite Wumpa Fruit: Down, Right, Right, Down, Down
  • Infinite Bowling Bombs: Triangle, Right, Down, Right, Up, Triangle, Left
  • Infinite Turbo: Triangle, X, Right, Left, Left, Triangle, X
  • Invisibility: Up, Up, Down, Right, Right, Up
