Halo Infinite is a game that Microsoft is banking on heavily. Positioned as the reinvention of the Halo franchise and as the game that ushers in the Xbox Scarlett as its main, big launch title, Microsoft are putting all their chips on the table with this project. 343 Industries are already receiving support on the game’s development from Skybox Labs– but that’s not it, as far as support is concerned.

As per Generacion Xbox, the studio will also be receiving support from Sperasoft. Sperasoft, for those not aware, has collaborated with several studios on AAA productions in the past, from EA Sports to BioWare, with their most recent contributions having been to Mass Effect Andromeda. What is somewhat concerning for Halo fans is that Sperasoft worked on Andromeda’s animations, something that was roundly and publicly criticized upon the game’s launch in 2017.

That said, though Generacion Xbox mentions that Sperasoft are aiding 343 Industries with Halo Infinite’s animations, they also make it clear that the bulk of animations work will still be done by the former in-house.

Halo Infinite is out in Holiday 2020 for the Xbox One, Xbox Scarlett, and PC. It will also be receiving pre-launch betas, which will be made available to Xbox One users first.
