Game Freak and Nintendo have been releasing new updates and details on the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield with surprising frequency of late. From a new Japanese trailer that showed off new locations and Pokemon to another trailer that introduced the Gigantamaxing mechanic, marketing for the upcoming duo of RPGs is in full swing. And we might be in line for even more info very soon.

As per Serebii, the upcoming July 21st episode of Japanese variety show Pokenchi will contain “the latest information” on Pokemon Sword and Shield. Whether that means the episode will contain the most recent information that we already know about, or whether they will be revealing new details on the games entirely is anyone’s best guess at this point- but I hope it’s the former. If it is, we’ll keep you updated.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are due out exclusively for the Switch on November 15. The games have been involved in a controversy of sorts of late, what with the in-game Pokedex not featuring support for every single Pokemon species. Read more about why Game Freak feels this was inevitably going to happen sooner or later through here.
